Zippo and Synergy Global Entertainment, Inc. bring us this years 2012 Avalanche tour. This is the second year of the Avalanche tour and it gets underway on March 27 at The Grove in Anaheim, California. This years tour will be headlined by the one and only SHINEDOWN along with ADELITA'S WAY, NEW MEDICINE (March 27 - April 10) and ART OF DYING (April 12 - April 25).
Shinedown will be supporting their upcoming release "Amaryllis" which is scheduled for release on March 27th the same day the tour starts. The first single "Bully" is already seeing success on the airwaves and has spawned a video. Even though they have been enjoying major success with the platinum selling "Sound of Madness" the band has decided to deviate from playing large arena shows on this tour. Shinedown's drummer and co-founder Barry Kerch told Billboard.com. "We're going into it with the mind set that it's not about production and lighting, though we'll have some of that with us but not over-the-top. It's going to be bands on a stage, playing rock music, the way it's supposed to be."
Along for the jaunt is Las Vegas-based quintet Adelita's Way. The band is in support of their June 2011 sophomore release "Home School Valedictorian". This latest album has seen its first single "Sick" be named AOL Radio's Top 10 Rock Songs of 2011. It's second single " The Collapse" was released at the end of 2011 and it a great rock tune.
Kicking of the show for the first few weeks (March 27-April 10) are New Medicine. September 2010 saw the release of their debut album "Race You to the Bottom". Their debut is a very solid rockin' release and has 2 singles released off it.
Canadian exports Art of Dying will be on their second time around with the Avalanche tour
(April 12-25). Formed in 2004, AOD is tourng in support of their debut album "Vices & Virtures". The band has been on a roll of non stop touring including last summers 2011 "UPROAR" festival. AOD is enjoying success with the release of their new single "Sorry". I caught these guys last summer and was suprised at what a great band they are. See my review of their UPROAR show here. This years Avalanche tour is another solid lineup ! The show roll's here though Reno Nevada March 30th at the Grand Sierra Resort. I can't recommend this show enough. Three unbelievable rock acts at a great tix price ! You can't go wrong ! See ya there.
