Having just wrapped up their 15 year celebration tour in 2012 and recording new material last December for their upcoming studio album The Generators hit the road again through March to bring us their brand of L.A. punk rock music.

In January of 1997 vocalist Doug "Dagger" Kane's band, Warner Brother's recording artist Schelprock, dis banded due to drug addictions and internal breakdowns. Formed in 1989 Schelprock released numerous albums and supported major players like Green Day, Rancid, and Sublime. After Schelprock's 1996 release " Americas Dirty Little Secret " and the bands demise  in 1997 Dagger was looking to carry on the punk sound.

Later that same year (1997)  Dagger hooked up with childhood friend Mike Snow.  Mike was no stranger to the L.A. punk scene having played in one of the earliest California street punk bands The Choice. Both had been heavily influenced by the British punk bands The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Generation X. It was these influence's they wanted to carry in to their new band and The Generators were formed. The band would be rounded out by the addition of Elvis the Doo on guitar, Rich Richards on bass, and Ernie Berrg on drums. In 1998 the band would release their first album " Welcome to the End " on Triple XXX records.

Over the next several years The Generators would release a hand full of new albums, see a few line up changes and their music making it into radio commercials (including their song "30 Seconds" for the Grammy's), numerous BMX, skating, and paintball videos, and the small indie film
" Meditate and Destroy ".

In 2009 Dagger brought in old Schelprock guitarist Sean Romain. That same year they released " Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea ".

Having led the forefront of the L.A. punk scene for 15 years The Generators are still focused as ever. Now along side Dagger, Snow, and Romain are bassist  Manny Murders and drummer Greg Millan.

2013 finds this in your face punk band releasing  a new studio album around May, an anthology album due in spring, and a tour of Europe with highlighted dates playing the Ruhrpott Rodeo Festival and the Rock n Ink festival in Germany. 2013 could easily end up being the year of the Generator !!!

The Generators will be rolling into Shea's Tavern 715 South Virginia Street  Reno, NV 89501 (775) 786-4774  on January 19th with support from Melvin Makes Machineguns, Infecto Skeletons, and Los Gattos.

Check them out. This will be a punk rock show to remember !
